Terms of service

Last updated 2 October 2026

These are the rules for using Ozi. We have tried to write them so they can be read in one sitting. The parts that matter most day to day are the anti-spam rules and how billing works.

1. These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Ked Creative Technology (“we”, “us”), which operates Ozi: the website at getozi.com, the app at app.getozi.com, and the API, SMTP, IMAP and MCP services that come with it (together, “Ozi”).

By creating an account or using Ozi you accept these terms. If you use Ozi for a business, you accept them for that business and confirm you have the authority to do so; “you” then means the business.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account and your team, including by the people you invite and by anything using your API keys or SMTP credentials.
  • Keep your sign-in, mailbox passwords and API keys secret, and tell us straight away at [email protected] if you think one has been misused.

3. What Ozi provides

Ozi lets you send email from your own domains, run campaigns and automations, keep contact lists, host mailboxes, and connect apps and AI agents through the API, SMTP and MCP. Some features have limits that depend on your plan.

We improve Ozi all the time, which means features may change. If we remove something important that you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

4. Acceptable use and anti-spam rules

Email only works when people trust it, and one sender's spam harms every other Ozi customer. So you agree that you will:

  • Send marketing email only to people who agreed to hear from you, and keep a record of how they agreed.
  • Never send to purchased, rented, scraped or borrowed lists.
  • Include a working way to unsubscribe in every marketing email, and honour unsubscribes. Ozi adds an unsubscribe link to campaigns for you; don't remove or hide it.
  • Say clearly who you are, and never disguise the sender, the subject or where an email came from.
  • Follow the email, privacy and consumer laws that apply to you and to the people you email, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act, the GDPR, and the US CAN-SPAM Act.

You must not use Ozi to:

  • Send phishing, malware, scams, or anything illegal, hateful or harassing.
  • Impersonate another person or business.
  • Send content that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Probe, overload or get around the limits and security of Ozi, or resell it without our written agreement.

We watch bounce and spam-complaint rates because inbox providers do. If yours climb past safe levels, or we believe you have broken these rules, we may pause your sending, block addresses, or suspend your account while we look into it. Where we can, we will tell you first and help you fix it.

5. Your content and data

You own what you put into Ozi: your contacts, emails, templates and mailbox contents. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide Ozi to you, keep it secure, and meet our legal obligations.

You are responsible for your content and for having the right to use it, including any consent you need from the people you email. For personal information you put into Ozi, you are the controller and we are your processor, as described in our privacy policy.

6. Apps and AI agents

Anything done with your API keys, including by an app, an integration or an AI agent connected through MCP, counts as done by you. Give keys only to tools you trust, use the narrowest permission that works, and delete keys you no longer need.

7. Plans, fees and billing

The free plan costs nothing, within the limits shown on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars through Bachs, our payments provider: a monthly minimum, plus usage above what the minimum includes, at the prices shown when the usage happens.

  • Prices do not include taxes, which are added where the law requires.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. New prices apply from your next billing period after that.
  • If a payment fails and is not fixed, we may move your account to the free plan or pause sending.
  • Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your settings. It stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then moves to the free plan.

8. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Ozi and ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other customers or our sending reputation at risk, or is not paid for. If the problem can be fixed, we will tell you what it is and give you a chance to fix it, unless the risk is too serious to wait.

When an account closes, your right to use Ozi ends and we delete your data as described in the privacy policy. Export anything you want to keep first.

9. Other services

Ozi relies on, and lets you connect to, services run by others, such as Amazon Web Services for email delivery, Bachs for payments, and Google or GitHub for sign-in. Their own terms apply to how you use them, and we are not responsible for services we do not run.

10. Our property

Ozi, its software, design and the Ozi name and logo belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use Ozi; they do not give you ownership of it. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Ozi running and your email delivered, but Ozi is provided “as is” and “as available”. We cannot promise it will never be interrupted, that every email will reach the inbox, or that a receiving server will accept a message: those are partly decided by others. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms.

12. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim about Ozi is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.

13. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of email you sent, content you stored, or your breach of these terms or the law, you will cover the reasonable costs and losses that result.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If a dispute arises, email us first and we will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, though either of us may seek urgent relief wherever it is needed.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Ozi changes. We update the date at the top when we do, and for significant changes we email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Using Ozi after that means you accept the new terms.

16. General

These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Ozi. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right straight away doesn't mean we have given it up. You may not transfer these terms without our agreement; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale.
